Signet Accreditation awards
Speaking at the third annual award ceremony of Signet Accreditation at the Signet Library, Robert Pirrie, Chief Executive of the WS Society, said: “Signet Accreditation is an example of a solicitors’ body driving higher standards without regulatory intervention. It is an assurance of commitment by a Scottish solicitor to the highest standards of service and integrity.”
Signet Accreditation, run by the WS Society, uses rigorous assessment of both technical and client-focused skills to accredit lawyers in different areas of practice. Also speaking at the ceremony, Lord Cullen of Whitekirk, chairman of the Signet Accreditation board, said: “The aim of the board and practice area committees is to ensure that the programme is current, relevant and as representative as possible of the challenges faced in the day to day environment of the practice of law. It is this constant drive for improvement which sets the Signet Accreditation apart.”
